Luxury German AV brand Loewe has unveiled its latest product, the WE. HEAR pro x Bluetooth speaker, in partnership with renowned French soccer player Kylian Mbappé. While Loewe is primarily known for its high-end TVs, the company aims to make a mark in the competitive and fashion-conscious Bluetooth speaker market. With established players like JBL and Bose dominating sales, Loewe’s collaboration with Mbappé is aimed at capturing the attention of younger consumers.
The WE. HEAR pro x speaker combines solid German engineering with a fresh and funky design, available in Denim, Neon, and Black color options. While the Neon finish may not appeal to everyone, the speaker’s impressive performance quickly reassures consumers of its capabilities. With a powerful 100W output, the WE. HEAR pro x delivers a robust sound experience, boasting a rich bass and refined audio quality. The speaker features physical bass and treble controls for personalized sound adjustments, although it sounds excellent straight out of the box.
Driven by a 100W class-D amplifier, the WE. HEAR pro x is optimized for horizontal placement but can also be positioned vertically. However, it lacks a ledge to prevent rolling when placed on its side. The speaker incorporates a strip of waterproof control buttons, each with dual functions. For instance, the power button also serves as a play/pause control, while the Bluetooth pairing button doubles as a sync link for connecting up to 14 WE. HEAR pro x speakers to create a massive party sound system.
The speaker’s other controls include bass and treble buttons, which can be long-pressed for skipping or repeating individual tracks. A long volume bar allows users to adjust the speaker’s volume and serves as a setting control for the bass and treble buttons. On the rear, the WE. HEAR pro x features a USB-C charging port and a 3.5mm stereo jack for connecting analog audio sources. A full charge provides up to 24 hours of continuous playback, making it suitable for extended parties. Additionally, the speaker can be fully recharged in approximately two hours and doubles as a power bank for charging USB-powered devices.
Designed for outdoor use, the WE. HEAR pro x is certified waterproof to IPX6, making it resistant to water and dust. This feature makes it ideal for pool parties or beach barbecues. The lightweight and compact design also includes a convenient shoulder strap for easy transportation.
Notably, the WE. HEAR pro x can sync with up to 14 additional speakers, creating a wide and immersive soundstage. The speaker also includes a built-in microphone, enabling it to function as a speakerphone for hands-free phone calls.
